100% Gewürztraminer grown in vineyards along New Zealand's East Coast.
Fruit was destemmed and crushed into the press; the skins and free-run juice were held for a skin contact period of 2 to 4 hours prior to being gently pressed. The resulting juice was cold settled then racked clean and inoculated with aromatic yeast strains. Cool fermentation techniques were employed to promote aromatics and intensity. Ferments were tasted daily and stopped to retain some natural residual sugar.
Perfumed and classic varietal aromas of rose petal, lychee and spice. Similar flavours on the palate, delivered with lovely richness, seamless texture and balance.
