100% Chardonnay carefully selected from several quality vineyards within Marlborough’s Wairau Valley region.
Each fruit parcel was chosen to add complexity and fullness as well as impart balance and offer particular characteristics to the final wine. The majority was fermented in new and seasoned French and American oak barrels. The wine in each barrel underwent malolactic fermentation to soften the acidity and give fullness of palate. After six months barrel ageing the wine was blended and carefully prepared for bottling.
Pale gold in colour, with aromas of ripe stone fruit, lemon curd, toasted nuts and sweet spice. The palate displays elegant and full bodied flavours, layered with peach, citrus, biscuit and sweet spice.
