100% Shiraz sourced from low yielding Barossa vineyards in the Stonewell, Light Pass and Vine Vale districts.
Fermented and macerated on skins for up to 2 weeks with some partial barrel fermentation. Following pressing and clarification, the wine was matured in French oak hogsheads for approximately 18 months.
Deep red with a black core and a bouquet of charcoal chocolate notes with dark plum and mocha, finishing with soft velvety tannins and rich opulent fruit on the palate. While drinking beautifully now, it may be put it away in the cellar for another five years or so during which time it will soften further and become a little more complex.
