Predominantly Malbec, with a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon blended (typically around 5%) from vineyards in the Agrelo zone.
Grapes were hand-picked and sorted, and cold soaked for 7 days to extract aroma and colour. Then fermented for 10 to 12 days and kept on their skins for 10 to 15 days to give colour and structure. Following fermentation, the blend was transferred into French oak barrels for 6 months, of which 10% were new and the rest second and third use. Naturally fined and gently filtered before bottling.
Deep purple in colour. Ripe fruit aromas of strawberries and cherries are nicely complemented with spicy notes and menthol aromas. On the palate, this wine displays extraordinary balance, freshness and soft tannins.
