86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Merlot from the Ribera del Duero winegrowing region of Castilla y Léon.
The 3 varieties were fermented separately in small stainless steel tanks with 25% undergoing malolactic fermentation in new French oak. Then aged separately in French oak (Taransaud and Darnajou) for a period of 14 months, after which the final blend was assembled and bottled.
Inky purple in colour, with an expressive bouquet of mocha and espresso, toast, graphite, wild blueberry and blackberry liqueur. On the palate, this is a full-bodied, full-flavoured, plush wine with layers of complex, spicy black fruits. The finish is long and balanced with hints of smoke.
