58% Petit Verdot and 42% Malbec harvested from the prime selection of the eastern block of the Mangan vineyard, located adjacent to the Cullen vineyard in the Wilyabrup subregion of the Margaret River.
Fruit was hand-harvested, destemmed and vinified with the emphasis on accentuating the fruit character of the grapes. It was naturally fermented, basket pressed and then matured for 5 months in seasoned three year old French oak followed by 1 month in new French barrels.
Vibrant deep purple in colour. The nose has delighful aromas of rose and violet florals with rich plum fruit and bramble. The palate is seamless and expansive with blueberries and a hint of liquorice. Vibrant and beautifully balanced with good length.
