76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc harvested from vineyards in the Margaret River region of Western Australia.
Fruit was grown biodynamically and hand harvested; carefully sorted before natural primary and malolactic fermentation. The varieties were vinified separately and aged for 19 months in 38% new French oak barriques. No acid or yeast added, producing a wine which has a great sense of place.
The aromas have amazing clarity and complexity, with an attractive combination of violets, rose, cassis and red peppers. Beautifully balanced and long, the palate has a marvellous blend of rich chocolate, plum, mulberry and notes of cassis. Concentrated and supported by a beautiful lingering ironstone mineral finish. Fruit purity really stands out.
