75% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Canaiolo grown on 90 hectares of vineyard in the Carmignano DOC.
Fermentation lasted seven days in temperature controlled vats. Maceration took place in stainless steel tanks and lasted for 7 days. Matured in 25 hectolitre Allier oak barrels for 12 months before bottling, followed by a further 3 months in bottle before release.
Cherry/plum aromas complemented by a touch of oak. Rounded and ripe on the palate with a lovely balanced fruit and tannin structure. There is a hint of spiced berries on the long, elegant finish.
