91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot principally from the Avery and Vortmann vineyards, with Merlot from Rise and Silage, in the Coonawarra region of South Australia.
Fruit was destemmed and sorted prior to fermentation. Wine was then matured for 17 months in new and used French oak from Seguin Moreau, Saury and Dargaud and Jaegle prior to bottling.
Intense aromas of cassis, blueberry, mint and seaweed combined with fine mocha-coffee French oak. A structured and lean palate with ripe cassis fruit and a fine tannin finish.
